How Every Mother Helps

Every Mother has worked with the USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) on several national breastfeeding curriculum projects for staff of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), including:

WIC Breastfeeding Curricula and Training.  Coming in late Summer 2018!

Comprehensive platform of training resources for training all levels of WIC staff. The curriculum uses the innovative “visual design” approach and is structured in tiered levels to address the varied roles among WIC staff. The flexible navigation approach gives trainers flexible options for training varied audience groups and training situations.

Training for Peer Counselors and Program Managers

Every Mother staff assisted with research and program design phases of the national WIC peer counseling program. Every Mother developed training curricula for both WIC peer counselors and peer counseling program managers.

Using Loving Support to Grow and Glow in WIC

Every Mother developed the curriculum and national training for all levels of WIC staff. This skills-based training addresses competencies needed by WIC staff to support mothers and babies with breastfeeding, and is being updated by the new “WIC Breastfeeding Curricula and Training” project coming soon!
